Olympia High School, kill yourself.
This is not an accurate representation of our school.
It took them almost a month for his crew to find enough footage to make this video, and on top of that only a select few students were actually talking.
here is something you should read that my friend has previously mentioned about this video,
“I go to Olympia High School, and I thought this was hilarious in a bad way. We’re ranked in the top 5% of US public schools, but keep in mind that this was made by journalism students. They seemed to know what they wanted to go for and edited out many correct answers because honestly, who wants to watch that?
I just really hate all the bashing on the video calling my school “dumb” and etc.
This video shows a small sliver of our student body and is not representative of our school as a whole. Our class of 2011 sent 1 student to MIT, 1 to Yale, 1 to Julliard, 1 to Columbia, 2 to Stanford (1 of them turned down Harvard and is also a Presidential Scholar), 5 students nominated for the Presidential Scholar award, and 2 students with perfect SAT scores in one sitting. The Knowledge Bowl team won State and was undefeated in every round. Given the socioeconomic disparity between our district and say, Bellevue and Mercer Island (pretty much known as well-off feeder schools), we do a damn good job. And this year, we already have 1 to Stanford (who was accepted over the summer) and 1 to Yale, and I know there will be more after regular decisions are released.
Personally, every day I know how lucky I am to attend this school. I’m lucky that my friend group consists of so many wonderfully talented, intelligent, passionate and motivated individuals.
So it’s not our school that should be getting bashed. This problem isn’t prevalent only at Oly- it’s the education system and values that need to be criticized.”Yes, you and I are both saddened that there are kids who don’t retain much from their history classes, but seriously? Telling OHS to kill themselves? How disrespectful; you’ve only seen like, five students out of hundreds and judge the rest of us from a biased journalism video? How presumptuous… Please don’t live the rest of your life that way. :/

You think I don’t have a sense of humor because I don’t find it humorous that you just told my friends and teachers to kill themselves?

Alright, I can tell by the fucking essay you just typed that you love your school and friends and all that shit.
But I’m not going to apologize for my opinion on my blog.Someone never learned that Timberline is a higher ranked school than Olympia. We can go tell them to kill themselves if we please.
